After a long career as a photojournalist in both Canada and the U.S., Jean now focuses on capturing real-life moments through sports, theatre, portrait, and animal photography.
Her work is known for its energy, emotion, and attention to detail—whether she’s photographing a fast-paced sporting event, a dramatic stage performance, or a quiet outdoor portrait. For more than two decades, she’s also shared her expertise as a photojournalism instructor at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, mentoring the next generation of visual storytellers.
Jean launched her photography business in 2001, naming it after her first show horse, Photoplay. Today, that name lives on in her brand as she continues to create authentic, story-driven images that resonate long after the shutter clicks.
